Helping Adventists find their roots thru discernment of truth and error
Warnings by Sister Ellen White
If only these warnings were heeded during the last 80 years. But men of deceit were in charge, building a bridge between the gap that provided safety between us and other denominations. Men that had to wait for the Pioneers, the "old-timers" to die off. They removed the old landmarks, the pillars of our faith, the foundation that was set upon 50 valuable years. The fundamental principles from 1872 (a guideline) would become a "creed" over time and if you didn't follow the new fundamental "beliefs" you would find yourself disfellowshipped. We would compromise the truth that was part of our pillars of faith. The word of the Bible would be replaced by the teaching of scholars.
"I tell you now, that when I am laid to rest, great changes will take place.....I want the people to know that I warned them fully before my death" Manuscript 1, Feb. 24, 1915
"Those who try in bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary or concerning the personality of God or of Christ are working as blind men." MR 760, p. 9, 10
"The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded.
Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error." Selected Messages 1, p. 204, 1903
"It is a grave mistake on the part of those who are children of God to seek to bridge the gulf that separates the children of light from the children of darkness by yielding principle, by compromising the truth."
Review & Herald, July 24, 1894
"The very last deception of Satan will be to make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God."
Letter 12, 1890
"We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history." Letter 32, December 19, 1892, par. 38
